H Cartier-BressonHe was a french photographer that worked on his photography throughout the 1930's, he first became fascinated by photography during the 1920's. Yet he pursued it as he worked as a photojournalist in France. His decisive moment to become a photographer and quit his painting career was when he was inspired by a photograph titled 'Three Boys at Lake Tanganyika' he decided to take up his photography career seriously as he learned that he could capture amazing moments in a simple photograph. Cartier-Bressons work is relevant when talking about composition because his photographs clearly show it. For example you are able to see the direction of each image, as well as the focus point in each photograph. Every photograph is thought out to look amazing. You are able to see whats in the photograph as well as explaining whats going on. He has inspired my own work because I can now think about the direction of the image as well as capturing the photograph at the perfect moment to truly show whats going on in each photograph I take. |
